Evolution

Evolution is essential for every living things in this world, but do not ever confuse the evolution with mutation. For along time, creatures evolved to survive, the only thing that able to trigger a need to evolution is the need to survive. However, evolution takes millions of years and it is not easy to evolve. As Darwin proposed, man may be the result of he evolution from apes species, well most of the time i agreed with him, it seems like most of the part of human are particulary similar to apes, undeniable is the anatomy of it, either our shape or DNA is similar with "them"

Once, i came across this passage from one book "GENETICS" , it is about Darwin's theory of NATURAL SELECTION:

As many more individuals are produced than can possibly survive, there must in every case be a struggle for existance, either one individual with another of the same species, or with individuals of distinct species, or with the physical conditions of life ... Can it, then, be thought improbable, seeing that variations useful to man have undoubtedly occured, that other variations useful in some way to each being in the great and complex battle of life, should sometimes occur in the course of thousands of generation? If such do occur, can we doubt ( remembering that many more individuals are born than can possibly survive ) that individuals having advantage, however slight, over others, would have the best chance of surviving and of procreating their kind? On the other hand, we may feel sure that any variation in the least degree injurious would be rigidly destroyed. This preservations and the rejection of injurious variations, I call NATURAL SELECTION.

Well from what i read, this passage really connect to every bit of our life. For each second we live, we will evolve to survive, to prove our EXISTANCE.

Actually I believe evolution is a form of natural mutation. If not, our DNA will be the same as the apes' DNA based on Darwin's statement. Cheers~ :)
